Description

Delicious and easy apple fritters that are perfect for a sweet treat.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • ⅓ cup granulated sugar
  • ⅓ cup brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • ¼ cup melted butter
  • 2 cups peeled and diced apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
  • 23 tablespoons milk (for glaze)
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, mix flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk milk, eggs, vanilla extract, and melted butter.
  4. Pour wet ingredients into dry and stir until just combined. Fold in diced apples.
  5. Scoop about ¼ cup of batter per fritter onto the baking sheet, spacing slightly apart.
  6. Bake for 12–15 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
  7. Whisk glaze ingredients until smooth and brush over warm fritters.
  8. Let glaze set briefly, then serve warm.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, you can add chopped nuts or raisins to the batter.
