- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 large eggs

- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup whipped cream for frosting
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
- Prepare the Batter: In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. In a large bowl, beat the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Mix in the vanilla extract. Alternate adding the dry ingredients and milk to the batter, starting and ending with the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined.
- Bake the Cupcakes: Divide the batter evenly among the cupcake liners, filling each about two-thirds full. Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of a cupcake comes out clean. Let cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Prepare the Chocolate Drizzle: In a small saucepan over low heat, warm the heavy cream until it just begins to simmer. Remove from heat and pour over the chocolate chips in a bowl. Let sit for 2 minutes, then stir until smooth.
- Frost the Cupcakes: Once the cupcakes are completely cool, pipe or spread whipped cream on top of each cupcake. Drizzle the chocolate over the whipped cream using a spoon or a piping bag.
