Description

A delicious recipe for spaghetti served with juicy beef meatballs, garnished with parsley and Parmesan cheese.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 500g ground beef
  • 200g spaghetti
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley (plus more for garnish)
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cups tomato sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar (optional, to balance acidity)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Meatballs: In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, chopped parsley, egg, garlic, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated. Form the mixture into medium-sized meatballs.
  2. Cook the Meatballs: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the meatballs and cook until browned on all sides. Remove from the pan and set aside.
  3. Prepare the Sauce: In the same skillet, add the tomato sauce, oregano, sugar, salt, and pepper. Bring to a simmer and add the meatballs back into the sauce. Cover and let cook for about 20 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld and the meatballs to cook through.
  4. Cook the Spaghetti: While the meatballs are cooking, bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain the spaghetti and set aside.
  5. Combine and Serve: Toss the cooked spaghetti with the tomato sauce and meatballs. Serve hot, garnished with additional parsley and Parmesan cheese if desired.

Notes

  • For extra juicy meatballs, avoid over-mixing the meat mixture.
  • To ensure even cooking, try to make all meatballs roughly the same size.
  • Simmer the sauce over low heat to deepen the flavor.
  • Adjust seasoning to taste before serving.
