Crispy Baked Chicken Wings

Description

Delicious and crispy chicken wings baked to perfection, seasoned with homemade ranch seasoning.


Ingredients

  • 2 pounds chicken wings (I use split wings/party wings.)
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour (See notes.)
  • cooking oil spray (I use olive oil.)
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons chives
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons dried dill
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • salt and pepper to taste (See notes.)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Pat the chicken dry and place it on a large bowl or plastic bag.
  3. Add the flour and homemade ranch seasoning to the chicken. Ensure the chicken is fully coated. You may notice leftover spices in the bottom of the bowl (if you used a bowl to coat the chicken). Once the chicken is on the sheet pan, sprinkle these remaining spices over the chicken to ensure optimal flavor.
  4. Line a sheet pan with parchment paper and add the wings.
  5. Bake the wings for 20 minutes and then open and flip the wings. Bake for an additional 20-30 minutes. Ensure the wings reach a minimum temperature of 165 degrees. Use a meat thermometer.
  6. After baking, pat the chicken dry again and place it on a large bowl or plastic bag.
  7. Add the flour and homemade ranch seasoning to the chicken. Ensure the chicken is fully coated. You may notice leftover spices in the bottom of the bowl (if you used a bowl to coat the chicken). Once the chicken is in the air fryer, sprinkle these remaining spices over the chicken to ensure optimal flavor.
  8. Place the chicken in the air fryer basket. Spritz the chicken with cooking oil.
  9. Air fry for 15 minutes on 400 degrees.
  10. Open the air fryer and flip the chicken. Cook for an additional 5-10 minutes or until crisp. Ensure the wings reach a minimum temperature of 165 degrees. Use a meat thermometer.
