- 1 lb Ground beef (Preferably lean)
- 2 medium Potatoes (Peeled and diced)
- 1 medium Onion (Finely chopped)
- 2 cloves Garlic (Minced)
- 1 inch Ginger (Grated)
- 1 medium Tomato (Chopped)
- 1 tsp Cumin seeds
- 1 tsp Coriander powder
- 1 tsp Turmeric powder
- 1 tsp Garam masala
- 1 tsp Red chili powder (Adjust to taste)
- 1 salt Salt (To taste)
- 2 tbsp Oil (For cooking)
- 1 cup Water (As needed)
- 2 tbsp Fresh cilantro (Chopped, for garnish)
Instructions
- Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and let them sizzle.
- Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
- Stir in minced garlic and grated ginger, cooking for another minute.
- Add ground beef, breaking it apart with a wooden spoon, and cook until browned.
- Mix in chopped tomatoes and cook until they soften.
- Add diced potatoes and all the spices. Stir well to combine.
- Pour in water, cover, and let it simmer for about 20 minutes, or until potatoes are tender.
- Once cooked, sprinkle with fresh cilantro before serving.
