Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 ripe avocados
  • 1 small red onion, finely diced
  • 1 to 2 jalapeños, seeds removed and minced
  • 0 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 0 teaspoon sea salt
  • 0 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 small tomato, seeded and diced (optional)
  • 1 garlic clove, minced (optional)

  2. Mash the avocados with a fork or potato masher to desired texture—chunky or smooth.
  3. Stir in red onion, jalapeño, cilantro, salt, and pepper. Mix gently.
  4. Fold in optional tomato and garlic if using.
  5. Taste and adjust seasonings.
  6. Serve immediately or refrigerate with plastic wrap pressed against the surface.
  7. Garnish with extra cilantro or lime juice before serving.
  8. Enjoy with chips, tacos, or as a spread!

Notes

  • This guacamole is best served fresh but can be made ahead and stored in the refrigerator.
  • To prevent browning, press plastic wrap directly onto the surface of the guacamole.
