- 3 ripe avocados
- 1 small red onion, finely diced
- 1 to 2 jalapeños, seeds removed and minced
- 0 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- 2 tablespoons lime juice

- 1 small tomato, seeded and diced (optional)
- 1 garlic clove, minced (optional)
Instructions
- Cut avocados in half, remove pits, and scoop the flesh into a mixing bowl. Add lime juice immediately.
- Mash the avocados with a fork or potato masher to desired texture—chunky or smooth.
- Stir in red onion, jalapeño, cilantro, salt, and pepper. Mix gently.
- Fold in optional tomato and garlic if using.
- Taste and adjust seasonings.
- Serve immediately or refrigerate with plastic wrap pressed against the surface.
- Garnish with extra cilantro or lime juice before serving.
- Enjoy with chips, tacos, or as a spread!
Notes
- This guacamole is best served fresh but can be made ahead and stored in the refrigerator.
- To prevent browning, press plastic wrap directly onto the surface of the guacamole.
