Description
A delicious sautéed dish featuring fresh green beans and cremini mushrooms, perfect as a side dish.

- 1 lb fresh green beans, trimmed
- 8 oz cremini mushrooms, thickly sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp lemon zest (optional)
Instructions
- Wash and trim the green beans. Slice mushrooms and mince garlic.
- Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Blanch green beans for 2-3 minutes until bright green, then transfer to an ice bath. Drain and pat dry.
- Heat olive oil and half the butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add mushrooms and cook undisturbed for 4-5 minutes until golden. Stir and cook until tender.
- Reduce heat to medium. Add garlic and remaining butter. Cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add the blanched green beans and toss everything together. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until fully coated and heated through.
- Season with salt, pepper, and lemon zest if using. Serve hot.
Notes
- For best results, use fresh green beans.
- Adjust seasoning to taste, especially if serving with other dishes.
