Description

A luscious layer of brownies, creamy peanut butter pudding, and whipped topping create this delightful chocolate peanut butter trifle dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box brownie mix (including ingredients needed for preparation)
  • 2 cups cold milk
  • 1 package (5.1 oz) instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 2 cups whipped topping
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup chopped peanuts
  • Chocolate peanut butter cups, for garnish
  • Chocolate candy bars, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Brownies: Follow the instructions on the brownie mix box to bake the brownies. Allow them to cool completely.
  2. Make the Peanut Butter Pudding: In a mixing bowl, whisk together the cold milk and instant vanilla pudding mix until thickened. Stir in the creamy peanut butter until well combined, then fold in 1 cup of whipped topping.
  3. Assemble the Trifle: Crumble half of the brownies into the bottom of a trifle dish. Spread half of the peanut butter pudding mixture over the brownie layer. Sprinkle half of the chocolate chips and chopped peanuts over the pudding layer. Repeat layers with the remaining brownies, pudding, chocolate chips, and peanuts.
  4. Top the Trifle: Spread the remaining whipped topping over the last layer. Garnish with chocolate peanut butter cups and chocolate candy bars, arranging them decoratively on top.

Notes

  • For extra richness, drizzle chocolate syrup over each layer of brownies.
  • Make sure the brownies are completely cool before crumbling to maintain texture.
  • You can prepare the trifle a day in advance and refrigerate to allow flavors to deepen.
  • Substitute vanilla pudding mix with chocolate for an extra chocolatey flavor.
