Description

A delicious and crunchy snack mix perfect for parties or movie nights!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups corn Chex cereal
  • 3 cups rice Chex cereal
  • 3 cups wheat Chex cereal
  • 11/2 cups cheese crackers
  • 11/2 cups mini pretzel twists (or snaps)
  • 1 cup mixed nuts
  • 8 tablespoons unsalted butter (1/2 cup, melted)
  • 3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 11/4 teaspoons seasoned salt
  • 11/2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Cayenne pepper (or Tabasco sauce, optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 250°F. Set out a large 15×21-inch sheet pan or 2 smaller 11×17-inch sheet pans and line with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
  2. In a very large bowl, add all the Chex cereals, cheese crackers, pretzels, and nuts. Toss to combine.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine the melted but not hot butter with Worcestershire sauce, seasoned salt, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika. If desired, add cayenne pepper, starting with 1/4 teaspoon and increase to taste, or Tabasco or hot sauce, starting with 1 tablespoon and increase to taste.
  4. While gently mixing everything, very slowly drizzle the butter mixture over. Be sure to toss really well so the mixture is evenly covered with the seasoned butter.
  5. Spread the mixture on prepared pans, making sure it’s in an even layer and not piled. Bake for 1 hour, stirring and flipping the mix every 20 minutes. Spread in an even layer again after every stir/flip.
  6. Remove from the oven and let stand at room temperature until fully cooled before serving. Enjoy!
