Description

Delicious BBQ chicken sliders topped with melted cheese and served on sweet Hawaiian rolls.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ½ pound chicken, shredded and seasoned with salt and pepper
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • ¼ cup salted butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 12 Hawaiian rolls, sliced
  • 12 slices provolone cheese
  • ½ cup red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon dried minced onion
  • 1 tablespoon parsley

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350° F.
  2. In a bowl add the chicken and barbecue sauce. Mix until combined. Set aside.
  3. In a bowl add the butter, parmesan cheese, and garlic powder. Mix until combined. Set aside.
  4. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  5. Place the bottom of the Hawaiian rolls on the baking sheet.
  6. Layer the rolls with 6 slices of cheese.
  7. Top the cheese with the chicken.
  8. Top the chicken with the red onion.
  9. Top the chicken with 6 more slices of cheese.
  10. Place the tops of the rolls on top. With a pastry brush cover the tops with the garlic butter.
  11. Sprinkle the dried minced onion on top.
  12. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the sliders are heated through and the cheese has melted.
  13. Sprinkle parsley on top and serve.
